Island Readers & Writers Presents: Using Love of Story to Encourage and Empower Young Writers

In this (free!) online event for adults (especially middle-school teachers, librarians, and parents), I’ll share how, as a visiting author at schools across the country, I encourage kids to find what excites them most as readers and follow that excitement into creating stories of their own. This interactive presentation will include tips and tricks to use in your own classrooms or library programs (and in your own writing!) and time for a Q&A.
